Upgrade components
Upgrade components can be added to armors, weapons, trinkets and gathering tools. They provide an extra benefit or impact while the equipment is in use. They can be purchased from players or vendors, scavenged or gotten as rewards, or constructed by crafting materials. Upgrade items can have cosmetic effects as well as offering bonus points for attributes.
Upgrade components include inscriptions enhancements, and infusions. They are not generally accessible to the general public and are only available on equipment that has been elevated or on certain weapons that are not ascending from the Factions Campaign. You can recover infusions, inscriptions and enrichments from equipment by using an Infusion Extractor Device or by salvaging using a Black Lion Salvage Kit, or Ascended Salvage Tool.
Phoenix Boxes unlike other upgrade products can be traded and re-used when still attached to the item that they are upgrading. These upgrades are the best option to boost weapon and armor quality without spending Dilithium because they can increase the item's chance of receiving a high-quality upgrade by two times.
Upgrade components can be added to an item, but the old one is destroyed (except for legendaries and Ascended equipment). Only upgraded items with an identification level of 0 or higher can have upgrade components added to them. When you upgrade a weapon that is already equipped with a suffix or prefix upgrade will display the name of the upgraded item as it appears in game (for example adding the Radiant Insignia to Canthan Armor will cause it to be referred to as Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). A player can own up to 3 upgrade items at any one time.
Glyphs
Glyphs are a fantastic accessory to any item. They offer unique benefits and boosts. Some Glyphs increase the number of affixes that an item has, which increases the power of the item. These glyphs can be obtained by completing Dungeons. They can also be located in specific World Tier 3 zones. It's important to remember that glyphs can only be used by characters who have created a dungeon that has the same depth.
To make use of a Glyph you first need to create it using components, and then connect them via anchors. Then, the component will automatically align itself to other components and paths within the same layer. If you don't wish to create the glyph with components, you can make use of a combination of paths and anchors. Then, drag the element close to the highlighted component to lock it in place.

Some glyphs require certain conditions to be fulfilled for example, 25 Dexterity in a particular area on the Paragon Board. Certain glyphs require a particular number of Primary Stat Nodes to be activated, which could also be difficult to achieve. Some glyphs have a radius that grows with each level.
Glyphs can be found on various items and can be added to all weapons, with the exception for weapons belonging to a particular class. Some of these glyphs also have conditions for example, like having a certain amount of damage from Dexterity or Attack in a specific location on the Paragon board.
The Defend Glyph gives you the chance to deflect attacks from enemies. It also has the chance of 15%, making the Hero vulnerable for two turns.
There are a few glyphs that could be applied to tools with limited-use capabilities like the Black Lion Chest or Trading Post. The addition of these glyphs will be counted towards the Combat Mechanic achievement.
The most commonly used glyphs are the attack glyphs which boost the ATK substats of Artifacts by a flat amount. These glyphs are particularly useful for classes that use ranged weapons, such as Warriors or Rogues. The Exploit Glyph can make enemies who strike the Hero vulnerable to damage.
Reroll tokens
Reroll tokens are tokens that can be used to roll back one of the results when taking an Action. They are destroyed after the reroll has occurred. Reroll tokens are available in many ways, like dungeons and raids, or by participating in skirmishes. They can also be purchased in the store or from other players. They are particularly useful in dungeons or trials because they allow players to play a reroll of rewards of the final chest.
Recycle point values are provided for items at level 1. When recycle an item, it will add a specific amount of points to the upgrade gauge. This number will increase based on the item's level and rarity. In addition the upgraded item won't retain its level when rerolled and the cost of recycling an upgraded item goes up depending on its level.
Alternately, players can make use of reroll tokens to reroll an upgrade item however this will not return the item to its original condition or provide the original stats. This is a great option for those who want to reroll an item or piece of equipment that they don't like but want to keep in their collection.
There are item upgrades of upgrade tokens available in the game: reroll, random, and upgrade. Each type has several subtypes. For instance, reroll tokens come in three different levels: rare, enhanced and legendary. Each requires an item from the level of its respective to make a new item with the same quality.
To make item upgrade of reroll tokens, click on the Satanic or Angelic item in inventory and select "Reroll Token". Select a type of token. The available tokens include Item Weapon, Misc, 1hgun, 2hgun and Focus. The Item token can be used to create a brand new Item in any quality. A Weapon or Misc token can create a new weapon of the same faction.
The item could be upgraded to a different item that has the same stats but is at a higher level. This could happen if the item is in the Non-droppable Pool or has been transferred to it as part of an Franchise Card.
